About Dr. Ken Carle

He has been located in Towson since 1990 and has over 30 years of experience in helping patients relieve pain and/or reduce the suffering of chronic pain. Dr. Kenneth Carle is a detail-oriented and dedicated pain management specialist who graduated from Duke University and completed a residency in anesthesiology at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville.

Following residency, he was appointed to the staff of the medical school and helped start the pain medicine fellowship at the University of Virginia Medical Center. In 1990 he moved his practice to Towson and has been practicing in Maryland for over 25 years. Dr. Carle is board certified in the Subspecialty of Pain Medicine and Anesthesiology by the American Board of Medical Specialties).

Dr. Carle worked for 13 years in the Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine Departments at Saint Joseph Medical Center in Towson. In 2003 Dr. Carle decided to devote 100% of his practice to treating patients in pain and opened The Carle Center for Pain Management with the mission: “Treating the whole person, not just the pain.” He sees patients for a range of pain issues such as arthritic joint pain, neck pain, back pain, sciatica, diabetic neuropathy, and sports injuries.
